I didn't want to feel pain, so I chose painless childbirth. It took quite a while from the onset of labor to the birth. lol, I've put together an account of my experience of going into labor even though my cervix was only 1cm dilated . I hope this will be helpful for those who are about to give birth.
[My experience] I started having contractions even though my cervix was only 1 centimeter dilated.
, One week before I went into labor (one week before my due date), I went to the obstetrician-gynecologist for my regular checkup and had them check how dilated my cervix was! ,

I was shocked because I had been experiencing false labor pains and thought my cervix had already opened. At that time, I thought it would be a while before I started having labor pains.
Contractions started coming every 10 minutes so I headed to the hospital!
, One week after my regular check-up where I was told that my cervix hadn't opened at all, I started having contractions!! , At first the contractions were irregular, but they gradually became more regular, and by around 6am the contractions were coming every 10 minutes! , I called right away and headed to the hospital.

↑The flow so far, At around 4pm, I was told to check the dilation of the cervix again, and if it was not dilated at all, I would insert a balloon. As a result, when I looked at the cervix at 4pm,

, After the contractions became 10 minutes apart, about 10 hours passed, but my cervix did not open at all ! lol The contractions subsided during that time. . . , I wonder if I'm the type that doesn't open my cervix easily. lol ,
The balloon finally made my cervix dilate to 5 centimeters!
, 2-3 hours after inserting the balloon into the cervix, the cervix was finally 5cm dilated.

Since my cervix was 5 centimeters dilated, I thought that labor would continue, but...


Even though my cervix was 5 centimeters, I was told that it would take some time, and I was in despair . I decided to spend the night with my cervix still at 5 centimeters.

At 9am, my cervix was 10cm dilated! I used a stimulant.
Because it was an epidural, I was able to spend the night without much pain. When I woke up in the morning, the midwife looked at my cervix.

My cervix was dilated to 10cm♪ It took about a day from the onset of labor to get to this point . lol , I had imagined that I would give birth as soon as the onset of labor, so I didn't expect to have to wait this long for my cervix to open. . , So, I decided to use a stimulant to help with the birth! Using a stimulant, my cervix was fully dilated! After about two hours, I finally gave birth ♪ I got to meet my cute baby★ ,
The time from 1 centimeter dilation to birth is approximately 30 hours!
In my case, the time from when I was told my cervix was 1 cm dilated to when I actually gave birth was about 30 hours ! It took more than a day .
The hardest part is waiting for the cervix to open!
